School Facilities
Science and ICT
The school features nine fully-equipped, state-of-the-art science laboratories and seven computer (ICT) suites, with computer access also available in the libraries. Every classroom and break out area is connected to our extensive commuter wireless networking enabling students to access ICT in any area of the school
The Library and Art Facilities
There are brand new, well-resourced libraries. In addition, there are three well-stocked art studios, music choral and ensemble rooms, radio station studio, brand new Sixth Form centre, that provide students with a wide array of resources for artistic expression creativity and exploration.
Medical Care
The school has a well-equipped medical dispensary under the control of 3 HAAD qualified Nurses. All cases of injury or illness receive immediate medical attention. Whenever specialised medical aid is required, emergency transport is available to take the student to the hospital. All students receive regular medical examinations and our dispensary works in close conjunction with the Department of Health and Medical Services.
Sports Facilities
Beyond the development of skills, our sporting facilities support students in their goals of leading healthy and active lifestyles.
The quality and investment evident at the school’s playing facilities reflects the importance the GEMS places on both individual and team sports. All learners have access to 25m swimming pool, a beginner pool, brand new library, cricket nets and playing fields, that complement the indoor sports areas and multi-purpose halls. A separate, well-equipped playing area is available for learners in Foundation. Visiting teams from other schools comment on the exceptional quality of our facilities, something we are very proud of. we have a brand new full size Astroturf pitch.
Book Store
Text-books, work-books and stationery are available at the school store in accordance with prescribed books for each class and subject options.
School Canteen
A clean and well-stocked canteen sells healthy snacks and drinks during break times. Hygiene and strict quality control of food are regarded as top priorities.
